Amadeus Mediators
Your insurance company refuses to pay out for that injury you sustained at the sports club and it’s now keeping you off work. You’ve been made redundant and believe your settlement package is grossly unfair. Your relationship has broken down irretrievably and now there is the house, money and kids to sort out but you’re afraid of going to court. A supplier or sub-contractor has breached a contract costing you tens of thousands of pounds and losing you business. An international deal has gone bad and now your staff are threatening industrial action over the resulting possible redundancies.
Such real examples can easily escalate into full blown disputes costing us time, money and creating emotional stress. Family or business disputes can sometimes last months or even years costing many tens of thousands of pounds to either prosecute or defend. The subsequent outcome in court may not satisfy and to top it all, the Judge could then award costs against you if you lose!
When faced with such difficult problems most people’s natural default setting is to call their solicitor for advice or demand that an action be launched. Few will ever consider calling a Mediator. Yet mediation offers both parties a way to seek resolution that is cheaper, quicker and principled. It can actually repair relationships through the process of mutual problem solving and reconciliatory interaction because it is less adversarial that litigation.
Mediation with Amadeus offers a safe and realistic alternative to going to court with all its inevitable costs. It is impartial and the process can be as formal or informal as you like, it is absolutely confidential and without prejudice, which means anything said or discussed cannot be used later as evidence in a court of law. Although historically lawyers have been the gatekeepers to mediation, Amadeus will gladly respond to a direct approach from you, and to referrals through lawyers.
Research shows that where parties enter into mediation with a spirit of cooperation up to 90% can result in settlement. With legal aid funding now being cut significantly and many people unable to afford legal fees, mediation with Amadeus offers an alternative form of dispute resolution that is affordable, viable and sustainable.
So why spend months or years battling in the courts to do what mediation can do in a day?
